Comala

Comala, Colima, has a history that dates back more than 3,000 years, when the first settlers settled in the territory.

In 1820, Comala was established as a municipality with Cayetano Pizarro as its first mayor. Later in 1857, Comala was established as a municipality according to the Republican Constitution and in the 1960s, the facades of the town's buildings began to be painted white and in 2002, Comala became a Magical Town.

In the case of Comala, he commented, "its architecture is mainly made of adobe, there are sloping roofs made of tiles that, at one time, were whitewashed."

The picturesque town's visual appeal is stunning, with its uniformly white houses. As the inspiration for Juan Rulfo's renowned novel 'Pedro Páramo', this charming town's beauty is only rivaled by the sweltering heat that pervades the area
